Start with the paid team

You can open a company design in Figma, but cannot find the invoice for paid services. Start with the team or organization that made the purchase. One account can use several workspaces, so an open file is no reliable shortcut to billing.

Note the team name, company and period you need. Add the plan if you know it, then send these details to the person who manages its billing.

The administrator depends on the paid workspace

Figma assigns billing management to team administrators for Professional and organization administrators for Organization and Enterprise. If you are a member or guest, ask the appropriate administrator for the document.

The authorized administrator opens the file browser, then Admin → Billing → Invoices. They select the invoice and download its PDF from the details.

Official Figma instructions →

If the list does not match the purchase, check the team or organization again. Changing roles or transferring ownership is not a routine part of a one-off document request.

Do not hand over a future estimate as an issued invoice

Billing also contains information about future charges. For completed records, choose the issued document and check its number, customer, currency and period. Label the expected next amount as an expectation.

Understanding the overview and invoice details →

Billing frequency varies by plan. The documentation distinguishes monthly and annual Professional invoices and quarterly and annual organization billing. Do not automatically expect a new document for every calendar month. Use the current plan and the actual invoice period.

Keep all related documents traceable

In a hypothetical example, Marek needs September documents for company A’s team. The administrator finds the regular invoice and another bill for changes to paid seats. Marek opens both and records their actual periods and numbers.

He does not dismiss the second file as a duplicate merely because both mention Figma. If the relationship between items is unclear, he adds a question for the administrator or accountant. He keeps the originals whole, without recalculating or rewriting them.

If the administrator finds nothing

Send a precise request: “Please send the issued PDF documents for company A’s team for the requested period. Check the current plan, history and any further billing for seat changes or other purchases.”

If no document has yet been issued for the period, or the purchase belongs to another organization, note this among the open items. Once the correct account is confirmed, prepare its identifying details for Figma support if the document is still missing.

Then give the accountant the original files with the team or organization name. Each file should clearly identify the billing it covers, and no missing document should disappear behind a vague “Figma done” label.
