Identify the paid workspace first
The whole team works in Slack, but the person preparing accounting records may not receive its billing documents. First identify the paid workspace and the person managing its billing. Being signed into the right channel does not itself confirm access to billing records.
Slack says workspace owners and members who upgraded the workspace can manage its plan and billing. If you do not have access, ask the currently authorized person for the specific document.
Choose the actual period you need from the history
On a computer, the documented route is Admin → Manage billing → History. Use the calendar to select a month and view the relevant statement. When passing it on, keep Slack’s document designation and check its contents.

If the account belongs to a wider enterprise organization or has contractual billing, ask the person managing that billing to confirm the right place. Do not change the plan or payment method to make the menu resemble another guide.
Open the downloaded document. Compare the workspace or organization, document number, currency and period. If your accountant also asked for an explanation of a charge, include it in your message as a question or known context; do not rewrite the amount in a statement of your own.
Billing contacts and owners have different roles
Slack allows you to add contacts for billing emails, such as the accounting department. According to its documentation, these contacts cannot change billing details, but may see certain workspace information, including statements and owner contact details. Agree any permanent addition with the responsible person first.

You do not need that change just to obtain a September document once. Ask the administrator for the relevant document and pass it on through the agreed channel.
Several workspaces mean several items to check
In a hypothetical example, Alena uses company A’s workspace and a separate project workspace. She needs documents for company A. She does not substitute a document from the project workspace for the missing company statement, even if both have similar names.
Her list says “Company A Slack – September – document supplied by administrator”. She deals with the second workspace only if the purchase actually belongs to the same assignment. This keeps the handover from becoming a mixture of accounts whose connection the accountant has to infer.
If the document does not arrive
For example, write to the administrator: “Please send the document from company A’s workspace billing history for September. Check the correct workspace and period. If billing is shared at enterprise level, I need to know who manages it.”
Record the responsible person and the date of the next check. Once you receive the document, check its contents and send it with the workspace identified. The handover is complete for that particular document, rather than for Slack in general.
