Start with the owner of the account that paid for the subscription
Look for Metricool invoices in the account that paid for the subscription. For shared brands, only that account's owner can access its payment history. Invited collaborators cannot see the account's invoices, even if they work with the brand every day. The owner also chooses who receives billing emails.
If you only have access to a shared brand, ask the owner of the paying account for the invoice for a specific period. Include the brand name to identify the collaboration, but the owner will download the invoice from their account history. We do not recommend changing the subscription or payment just to obtain a copy.

Older invoices remain in payment history after a switch to Free
According to Metricool's help page, invoices issued during a paid subscription can still be downloaded after the account returns to Free. Switching to the free plan does not, by itself, mean you have to rely solely on old emails.
As the account owner, follow the English labels used in the help page:
- Open Plan and billing.
- Scroll down to Payment history.
- Find the invoice for the billing period you need.
- Click the document icon to download the invoice.

Open the saved file. Compare its period and invoice details with the payment you are tracing; check the amount and currency too, if known. You can add the period to the filename, for example ‘Metricool – September 2026 – invoice’. Preserve the document's original contents.
The email contains a Download link, not a PDF attachment
The billing email offers a second route. An invited collaborator can receive invoices by email if the owner adds them as a recipient. This does not grant access to the account's payment history.
The message contains a Download button instead of a PDF attachment. Metricool says clicking it generates the invoice, whose contents stay the same. The link works without signing in for as long as the payment remains in the account history. Do not rely on it as your only saved copy: download the file and open it.
No sign-in means that anyone who receives the email can view the invoice. Metricool therefore recommends not forwarding the message and adding only people who should have invoice access as recipients. Send your accountant the saved file through the agreed channel, only to the intended recipients. If you send the link itself, choose its recipients just as carefully.

What to send the owner when you do not have the invoice
If you do not have the invoice, contact the owner of the paying account. Another brand collaborator may not be able to see it either. State the period you need and what you already have. If the owner cannot find it, keep that period on your missing-document list: sending a request does not mean the accountant has received the invoice.
What to give your accountant and what remains unresolved
Send the downloaded invoice to your accountant and identify its account and period. If another month is missing, list it separately and name the person you asked to find it. The recipient can then distinguish documents received from those still outstanding.
If future invoices should go directly to your accountant, agree on the email address and ask the account owner to add it as a recipient. Remember that the email will contain a Download link, not an attached PDF. There is no need to share account login details to arrange this.
