A payment belongs to a particular account
A GitHub payment appears on the company card, but the corresponding document is absent from your personal account. First find out which account the purchase belongs to. GitHub distinguishes personal accounts, organizations and enterprise administration; repository access alone does not tell you where billing is managed.
Note the organization or account name, the period and the product if you know it. You can add the payment date and amount to help locate it. These do not, by themselves, determine the correct document type.
Open billing for the specific account
GitHub’s current guide describes Billing & Licensing. For a personal account, go through your own Settings. For an organization, first choose the organization and its Settings; an enterprise has its own administration. The documentation lists organization owners, billing managers and personal account users as having access.

If you cannot see company billing, ask the relevant owner or billing manager for the document. Do not solve a missing PDF by sharing a developer’s login.
Distinguish receipts from invoices in the history
Payment history shows payment information and options to download the available receipt or invoice. Keep the designation and original file provided by the service. Do not rename a payment receipt as an invoice just to make your handover filenames consistent.

Open the file and compare the account, customer, number or identifier, currency and period. If your accountant needs another document type, pass the request to the administrator. They can check what is available for that particular account and payment arrangement.
One developer can have different purchases
In a hypothetical situation, Filip pays for a personal subscription while company A uses paid organization services. When collecting company records, Filip finds a document in his own history. Before sending it, he checks the account and sees that it belongs to his personal purchase.
He therefore leaves the company item open and asks company A’s organization owner for the corresponding document. He records the exact account and available document type in his overview. The accountant does not have to infer the document’s connection to the company from a repository name.
If you cannot find the right document
Your request might say: “Please send the original document for company A’s organization for the stated period. It is absent from my personal history. Check Payment history for the correct organization and tell me whether an invoice, receipt or another document is available.”
For an enterprise purchase or another contractual billing arrangement, check with the person responsible for billing; do not automatically expect the same documents as for a personal payment. Give support the account, period and payment identifier, rather than access tokens.
Once found, send the document with the account name and a description of the purchase. List any missing item separately, along with the person following it up. A payment on a statement and a completed document handover are different things.
