Start a DeepL invoice search with the account through which the service is paid. Your everyday translation login may differ from the account someone uses to manage a team subscription. A payment statement helps identify the transaction; it does not replace the service invoice.

Open billing for the correct account

As an individual subscriber or team administrator, sign in to the DeepL account and open the Billing tab. Find the invoice for the subscription and period you need, and check its payment status. The DeepL invoice guide explains this route.

Before selecting a document, note the subscription, period and known payment. Do not switch accounts blindly or ask a colleague for their password. If another person manages billing, request the specific file:

Please send the invoice for our DeepL subscription for [period]. I am looking for the document matching [payment date and amount]. Please send the billing file rather than only a screenshot of the payment statement.

Replace the placeholders with actual information. The payment details help locate the invoice; they are not a reason to edit an issued document.

Save and open the file

Save the selected account invoice as a PDF. If the same document arrived at the billing email address, you can use that attachment; DeepL provides digital invoices through the account or email. Open the saved file and check that it contains the invoice itself, rather than a sign-in page or payment statement. If you cannot obtain the file, send the subscription administrator the request above with the exact period.

Worked example: you need September, but the folder contains August and September invoices, both for EUR 25. The amount alone cannot decide. Open the documents and choose the one with September's billing period, the right subscription and the right customer; record its invoice number for handover. The same number on the email attachment and the account download identifies two copies of one document. If the customer differs, keep the original and ask the administrator to clarify; editing the PDF is not the solution.

Hand over the document once

Use a retrievable filename such as DeepL-period-invoice-number.pdf, replacing the fields with real details. Renaming must not alter the contents. Check whether the same document already arrived by email; two files do not necessarily mean two invoices.

Send the confirmed file to the agreed location and note what was handed over. If it is missing, list the exact period as an outstanding item. The task is complete when you have the right readable document, not merely a located payment.
