Direct payment: open the invoice in billing history
If you pay Todoist directly for Pro, sign in on its website or in the desktop app. The official guide says to open the menu through your avatar, then follow Settings → Subscription → Go to billing → INVOICE HISTORY. Open the entry for the payment you need and download its invoice.
These English labels follow Todoist’s help page. According to Todoist, this invoice download route is not available on mobile devices. If you are looking on your phone, continue on a computer.
For a renewal, choose the payment for the period you need. An invoice for the initial purchase does not establish that you also have the document for a later renewal. This route covers directly paid Pro subscriptions; do not apply it to Business subscriptions.

Why searching your inbox may not be enough
Todoist’s help says that direct subscriptions receive a confirmation email with the first payment, but Todoist does not email an invoice after every payment. For a Pro renewal document, go to billing history even if your email search returns nothing.
The first payment confirmation and the invoice for the current renewal are different records. Before handing over a document, check which payment it belongs to. An empty inbox is not evidence that the invoice does not exist.

Paid through Apple or Google Play? Continue there
Todoist directs people who bought Pro through the App Store or Google Play to the relevant store. If your purchase confirmation identifies either channel, do not use the direct Todoist payment route to look for the document.
Apple: open reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase. You can search purchase history by amount. If the purchase is missing, check whether you made it with another Apple Account of your own.
Google Play: order confirmations go to the Google Account used for the purchase. On the Google Play website, open your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & Order history and find the matching order. This history does not cover all other payments made through Google.
Purchase history helps locate a transaction; it does not guarantee a downloadable invoice. Distinguish an invoice, a receipt, an order confirmation and a history entry. Label the record according to what you actually obtained.

Open the document and compare it with the payment
Before filing the document, open it and check that it covers your Todoist Pro subscription and the right payment. Compare the date, amount and currency, plus the period if shown. The filename alone is not enough.
If someone else at your company bought the subscription, ask that person for the document. They can retrieve the specific record through their existing authorised account and pass it to you. Do not change the plan or billing details to find an old invoice.
Still missing? Record the exact gap
Note the payment date and amount, the verified purchase channel and the search result. ‘Payment found, document missing’ and ‘Purchase not found in this account’ require different follow-up from the purchaser or support.
For a direct payment whose invoice you cannot obtain from the history above, contact official Todoist support. For a store purchase, use the located transaction and the store’s support. Describe one specific missing item: for example, you found a Todoist Pro renewal payment but have no document and need to know what record is available and where to obtain it.
Until you receive the document, keep it marked as missing in your records. Your search notes help you continue after a reply; they do not replace the document itself.
