When collecting StreamYard documents for your accountant, start with the team name and the period that is missing. Each team has its own invoice history, accessible only to the owner of a paid account. For Business plans, invoices come through your StreamYard commercial contact. Choose the route below that fits your situation.
Who should retrieve the document
According to StreamYard’s help page, Billing is available to the owner of a paid account. Team membership alone is therefore not enough to download a document. Business is an exception: Billing is unavailable to all team members, and the account owner receives invoices from their Account Executive, their commercial contact at StreamYard.
| Your situation | Next step |
|---|---|
| You own a team with a paid account other than Business | Select the correct team and open its Billing. |
| You are not the team owner | Ask the owner to download and pass on the document. |
| You have a Business plan | Ask the account owner to find the invoice from their Account Executive or contact them. |

Download from the correct team
As the owner, first select the correct team using the arrow at the top left of the dashboard. Then open Account → Billing → Load invoices. Select View beside the record you need, followed by Download invoice or Download receipt, depending on the document required. An invoice and a receipt are different documents; keep their labels when passing them on.
If you cannot see Billing, check the signed-in email under My account at the top right, the selected team and your owner role. Accounts on the Free plan cannot access Billing. For Business, use the Account Executive route instead.

Ask for the file, not a change of login
If someone else is downloading the document, ask for the original downloaded file. To pass a copy to your accountant, we recommend keeping the login email, subscription and billing details unchanged. Include the team and period in your request so the recipient knows which history to open.
What to check before sending it to your accountant
Open the file when it arrives and compare it with your request. Do the period and document details match the subscription you are looking for? Have you received the invoice, the receipt or both, as requested? If the file does not identify the team, ask the person who downloaded it to confirm.
Your covering message could say: “StreamYard, team [name], period [period]: invoice attached; receipt still missing; requested from [contact].” This is a suggested way to record the handoff. Explicitly identify any requested document that is still missing and keep following it up.
What if the invoice shows old details?
StreamYard says the details on a finalised invoice cannot be edited. Billing-detail changes apply to future documents; they do not rewrite an old invoice.
Keep the original file for your accountant and describe any discrepancy in the covering message. Sending a copy does not resolve the discrepancy, so track its resolution separately.

Where these instructions come from
These instructions are based on official StreamYard help checked on 26 October 2026. We retain the English control labels used in the source. We have not tested a download in a signed-in account and make no claim about the file format or local tax suitability. The request template and handoff checks are editorial recommendations.
