Write down the payment date, amount and the team named in your purchase records. If you work with several teams, do not assume that the one currently open in the application is responsible for this transaction.
Ask the appropriate billing person
Postman's instructions allow members of the paying team with the Billing role to retrieve invoices. Open that team's billing dashboard and select Plan and payments → Invoices; use the download icon for the invoice you need, as the billing guide explains. Invoice links are also sent to the team's billing contact, so check that mailbox first as well.
Use that route for the identified team. When you cannot retrieve the document yourself, request the exact invoice from the person handling its billing. A general project invitation or screenshot does not establish that you are looking at the right purchase.
Make the request unambiguous
Please send the Postman invoice for [billed team] for [period], matching [payment date and amount]. I am looking for that team’s subscription purchase, not a document from another team using the same service.
Include only information needed to locate the bill. Do not attach API keys, request collections or environment secrets. Accounting documentation does not require those project materials.
Worked example: a contractor is currently working in a client's workspace, but the company bought a subscription for its own team, Studio. The purchase records identify Studio as the paying team, so the contractor asks its member with the Billing role for the relevant period's invoice. They open the file and compare customer, period and amount, then include the document number in the handover. They do not use the client's team invoice simply because it is at hand. If the invoice names a different customer, they return to the billing administrator with that specific discrepancy.
Check the invoice, then hand it over
Open the retrieved file and compare recipient, description, period and amount. If the team or purchase differs, keep that discrepancy explicit rather than renaming the document to match your expectation.
Save the confirmed file with the team identity, period and document number. Check for a copy already received before forwarding it. Send the billing file to the agreed accounting location, without adding unrelated project exports.
If you cannot identify the paying team, record that specific gap. Looking through every workspace is less useful than resolving who made the purchase.
