According to Framer’s help centre, invoices cover workspace subscriptions. These can include site plans, paid editor seats and other billed services. Invoices are not linked to individual projects. A website name is therefore a useful clue for you or a colleague, but does not identify the invoice on its own.

First identify the workspace that pays

Before searching a website’s editor, find out which workspace pays for the subscription. If you only know the website, ask your usual Framer billing contact. Include the website name or address and the payment details you know: date, amount and currency.

Separate two questions: where to get the original invoice, and which website the cost relates to. The workspace billing portal answers the first. The second may need an explanation from the colleague who ordered the subscription. Finding the document may not answer both.

Invoice route: Dashboard → workspace settings → Plans

Framer’s official instructions take you through workspace settings. We keep the English control labels used in the source for reference.

  1. Open Dashboard and go to the settings of the workspace whose subscription you need.
  2. In settings, open the Plans tab.
  3. Click View Invoices. Framer redirects you to the billing provider.
  4. In the billing portal, find the matching available invoice and download it.

If you cannot access settings or invoices, ask your billing contact for the original document. The help article does not specify which user role guarantees access. Access to the website editor alone therefore does not confirm invoice access. There is a request template below.

Compare the document with the payment, as well as the website name

Open the downloaded file and compare the details available to you: customer account or workspace, billing period, amount, currency and document identifier. Note what matches and what still needs explaining. This is a recommended handover check, not a list of fields Framer guarantees on every invoice.

If the document covers several services or does not explain the link to a particular website, do not guess. Keep the original invoice unchanged and put the website, workspace and uncertainty in a separate covering message. The recipient can then distinguish supplier details from your explanation.

Fictional example: invoice found, website association unclear

This example is fictional. Jana is preparing documents for her accountant and needs an invoice relating to the Studio Lípa website. A colleague confirms that Framer payments go through the Lípa team workspace. Jana downloads the invoice there and compares it with the known payment. However, she cannot tell which billed service relates to that website.

Jana sends the original file to the accountant with this message. She explicitly leaves the uncertain association to be resolved with the colleague who ordered the subscription.

Before sending, insert the actual details and agree the next step with a specific person. Put the note in the message, not in the original invoice.

The result is a traceable document and a specific outstanding question. The accountant need not infer what the supplier billed from the website name, and the colleague knows what still needs explaining.

If access, the document or a payment explanation is missing

If you do not have the original invoice, send a precise request to your Framer billing contact. Include the known workspace, the website as context, the payment and where you have already looked. You can use the request without knowing the workspace: say that you still need to identify it.

Choose the relevant bracketed options. Do not guess the amount or period.

If your billing contact cannot identify the payment or explain the invoice either, Framer directs you to support via Contact. The link is in the official help article listed in the sources. Describe the uncertainty using known details; searching the invoice for a project name alone may not resolve it.

You can pass on the invoice once you have the original document and know which details you checked. Add any uncertain website association separately and say whom you will resolve it with. If the document is still missing, record an open request instead: whom you contacted, what they should provide and the agreed next step. Finding a payment or sending a request does not mean you have found the invoice.

Source and scope

The navigation and invoice scope follow Framer’s official help article Find and download an invoice, updated on 15 September 2026 and checked on 26 October 2026. The procedure has not been tested in a paid customer account. This article therefore does not confirm the availability of a particular historical invoice. Comparing details, keeping a separate note and using message templates are document-preparation recommendations, not portal features.
