Start where the work stalls. A found PDF is input for further work; accounting processing handles another part of the same process.
What work each tool handles
According to its documentation, Digitoo receives documents through the web, email, API and mobile app. It offers OCR, working with recognised data, approvals and accounting-system integrations. It therefore covers broader processing of supplied documents.
Once access and the relevant features are enabled: HeyRup searches your mailbox for the chosen period, recognises and sorts invoices, and lets you download original PDFs. You can send selected documents to your accountant after reviewing the preview. You decide on exceptions. HeyRup does not create accounting entries or offer a native Digitoo integration.

Practical differences when choosing
The HeyRup column describes the planned scope once access and features are enabled. The other column follows the supplier’s public documentation; this is not an accuracy or speed benchmark.
| Need | HeyRup | Digitoo according to its documentation |
|---|---|---|
| Find documents | PDF attachments in connected mailbox, selected history and regular searches. | Document receipt through multiple input routes. |
| Work with data | Recognition, assignment to the right company and decisions on uncertainties. | Data extraction and assignment. |
| Connect to accounting | Download original PDFs or send them to your accountant after review. No accounting entries. | Approval and accounting-system integrations. |

Example: the accountant has a system, but the business owner lacks the PDF
A business owner searches for documents from several suppliers each month. Their accountant already has an established processing method. The first question is therefore not how to replace the accountant's system, but how to obtain the missing documents in the right format.
Once access and the relevant features are enabled: For PDFs in email, HeyRup can handle collection and sorting. You can send selected documents to your accountant after reviewing the preview. Documents only in supplier portals remain a separate source. If you already have all the documents and converting data into the accounting system takes most of the work, focus on extraction and the actual connection.
Can both tools be used alongside each other?
Collection and handover can feed accounting processing. That does not automatically mean a complete technical integration between two services. Check how your accountant receives documents and whether their specific target system can be used.
Planned PDF handover by email does not establish import support in every accounting system. Agree now whether your accountant needs the original file, structured data or both. An actual handover check requires authorised access and enabled features; this comparison does not claim that such a test took place.
What to verify before deciding
Prepare without an account in either service: for one of your own invoices, note its source, the output your accountant needs and the manual step where work stalls. Example: the PDF is missing from email but exists in the supplier portal — obtaining it comes before extracting data from an absent file. Leave an unclear attachment for a decision. With authorised access later, you can separately check the service on a permitted sample.
