Connecting your email takes trust. Here is how access, processing, and deletion work.
For IMAP, enter your credentials; we store the password encrypted. The connection uses verified TLS on port 993. We read selected folders and PDF attachments within your chosen period. We do not change, delete or mark messages as read.
Processing takes place on servers. PDFs are stored in Google Cloud Storage, Google Document AI performs OCR, and OpenAI API uses document text for recognition and sorting. Email bodies are not stored in the document database or sent for AI classification.
We retain PDFs and recognized content for three calendar months from the first import. You can delete copies earlier. Private PDF storage is in the EU; this does not mean every provider processes data only in the EU. Recovery and other records have separate periods described in the privacy policy.
Disconnecting IMAP removes stored credentials and stops further mailbox access. When disconnecting, choose whether to keep or delete available documents. Deleting a HeyRup copy does not remove the original attachment or downloaded files. Contact us to request account and related data deletion.
