Look in the cloud account console

Look for your n8n Cloud subscription receipt in Cloud console, the console for managing your cloud account. You do not need to open an automation or its execution history for this procedure. According to n8n’s official guide, open the receipt via Billing → Transaction history → Open receipt, then use your browser to save it as a PDF.

n8n Cloud console →

n8n calls the document a receipt, meaning a payment confirmation. We therefore refer to a receipt or payment document below; saving it as a PDF does not turn it into a tax invoice.

From Cloud console to the open receipt

  1. Open n8n Cloud console. According to the documentation, sign in by requesting a Magic Link, a sign-in link.
  2. Select Billing in the left panel.
  3. In Transaction history, find the payment you need and click Open receipt.
  4. Wait for the receipt to load before opening your browser’s print function.

These English labels follow n8n’s documentation. If you cannot access the console or find the receipt, use the request below to contact the person you normally deal with about billing. Lack of access alone does not explain the cause of the problem.

Save the PDF and check what it actually contains

n8n’s official procedure uses the browser’s print function: Command + P on a Mac or Control + P on Windows. Choose the option to save as PDF in the print dialog.

Before saving, we recommend checking the preview of every page. Make sure the whole receipt is visible and no part extends beyond a page edge. Using only details actually shown, compare the account or customer, date or period, amount, currency and any document identifier with the payment you are looking for. Do not guess missing details.

Save the PDF where you will retrieve it for handover, then reopen the saved file. Check that it contains the same details and all the pages shown in the preview. This check is our handover recommendation, rather than a guarantee from n8n about the print output.

Open receipt opens an online document. Reopening the saved PDF lets you check the actual file you will pass on. Copying the link alone does not replace this check.

If access or the receipt is missing

Ask your existing billing contact for the specific receipt. Include the account and period, known payment details and where you looked. Describe what is missing; you do not need to know the cause.

Select the text, copy it into an email and fill in the details in square brackets.

Keep the request open until you have the file and have checked it. Note whom you asked and what you are waiting for.

What a completed handover can look like

Illustrative example: you are preparing September documents for an account called “Studio”. You open the matching receipt in transaction history, check the preview, save the PDF and reopen the file. For your own reference, you might name it n8n-cloud_Studio_2026-09_receipt.pdf; this is your filename, not one prescribed by n8n.

Select the text, copy it into an email and fill in the details in square brackets.

If you only have an online link, say instead that the PDF is still missing. The recipient can then tell what they received and what remains outstanding.

Source and scope

This procedure follows n8n’s official guide “How to Download a Previous Receipt”, updated on 19 October 2026 and checked on 26 October 2026. We reviewed the documentation, rather than a paid account or an actual print output.

The guide covers a receipt for n8n Cloud. It does not describe self-hosted n8n or assess the document’s validity for tax purposes. The intended result is a checked file ready to pass on, or a precise request identifying the missing receipt.
