To get a GoDaddy receipt PDF, open the relevant Order # in Order History and choose Print to PDF. GoDaddy also offers Export to CSV for selected records. That downloads a table of data, not individual PDFs.
First identify the purchase
Gather the payment details: the date or at least the month, the amount and currency if known, and the service purchased. If you are collecting documents for someone else, have them confirm these details and establish who can access the account used for the purchase.
If you cannot access that account, send the request below to the person who made the purchase. Access to a domain or another service does not establish access to receipts. This guide does not verify the permissions of individual account roles.
When to keep CSV and when you need PDF
CSV is a tabular export of selected records. You can keep it as an overview when tracing several purchases. The PDF opened from an order’s details is a separate receipt for that purchase. Make clear which file you have when handing it over.
| What you need | GoDaddy’s documented route | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Receipt for one purchase | Order History → Order # → Print to PDF | Selected receipt opened as a PDF. |
| Tabular overview of selected records | Order History → select records → Export to CSV | One CSV file containing the exported data. |

For CSV, tick the records you want; the guide says the top-left checkbox selects all records. If exporting all records fails, GoDaddy recommends selecting fewer and trying again. This advice applies to CSV export, not to an error opening a PDF.
If you only have CSV so far, you can pass it on with a note: “Purchase overview; receipt PDF still missing.” Renaming CSV to PDF or printing it does not replace opening the selected order’s details.
Someone else made the purchase? Send a precise request
Send the account holder the purchase details and explain what you already have. Rather than “send me something from GoDaddy”, they receive a clear request for the missing PDF. Adapt the template and explicitly mark unknown details.
If you cannot obtain the PDF, pass on the document you have with a specific note: which purchase you are tracing, which file you have and whom you asked for the missing document. When a PDF arrives, open it and check it against the purchase details first; a reply alone does not confirm it is the right receipt.
Label the file clearly when handing it over
After checking, pass on the saved PDF with a short description of the purchase. Keep any CSV overview separate and label it as an overview. The recipient can then tell whether it is an order receipt, a purchase list or a document that still needs follow-up.
If the recipient requires a particular type of document, retain the label receipt and ask them to confirm whether this document meets their needs. This procedure covers finding and handing over the file, not assessing its tax status.
Sources and scope
The procedure and option labels come from GoDaddy’s public help page View my GoDaddy receipts, checked on 26 October 2026. We did not perform the procedure in a signed-in customer account. Checking the purchase, labelling the files and the request template are our recommendations for finding and handing over documents.
